CHALLENGE
Upgrading warehouse lighting to LED units can have a number of benefits. In our years as precision engineered LED lighting specialists we have replaced lighting in many warehouse units. Here is an example of a project where we were involved from assessment to full delivery and installation of warehouse lighting.
Tasked by Greenham Bunzl, part of Bunzl PLC which is a FTSE 100 company with a group turnover in 2021 of £10.2 Billion. It’s operations span across 31 countries and 6 core market sectors and the group employs in excess of 20,000 people. We were approached by Greenhams to upgrade the lighting to LED at their logistics centre in PontyPridd whilst also significantly reducing their energy consumption.
Part of the brief was lighting enhancement and upgrading the emergency lighting scheme and a control system were required so when areas of the warehouse were not occupied the lights would switch off. Exterior lighting was also required.
SOLUTION
By Using our maximum efficiency LED high bays and linear products for the interior and wall packs for the loading areas and walkways we enhanced the lighting whilst significantly reducing the companies energy spend resulting in very happy customers.
